Our people

Chris has overall responsibility for our private banking activities in offices throughout the US and Canada. He is also a member of Citi Global Wealth’s Leadership Team. 

Before joining Citi in 2025, Chris spent 13 years at Bank of America Private Bank, most recently serving as the Northeast Division Executive. Before that, he held management positions in private banking for Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, he played professional ice hockey. 

Chris holds a bachelor’s from Harvard University and a professional doctorate from Suffolk University Law School.

Based in Hong Kong, Steven has overall responsibility for serving the needs of our clients across JANA (Japan, Asia North and Australia) & Asia South. He has more than 30 years of experience in wealth management, having joined Citi in 1991. He is a member of the Private Bank’s Global Leadership Team.

Steven was previously Co-Head of Citi Global Wealth Asia and Head of Citi Private Bank for Asia Pacific. His prior roles include Global Market Manager for Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam. 

Steven holds a bachelor’s in social administration from Loughborough University and an MBA from Warwick University. 

James has overall responsibility for addressing the needs of clients across UK, Europe & the Middle East.

Previously, he was the Global Head of Citi Private Bank's Family Office Group, and prior to that the Global Market Manager for Northern Europe.

 Before joining Citi from Barclays in 2005, James was the founding partner and finance director of a digital television start-up venture. Earlier in his career, James worked in mergers & acquisitions transactions at Samuel Montagu, and subsequently for James Capel. He originally trained as a chartered accountant within Coopers & Lybrand’s corporate finance practice

James graduated from Manchester University with a bachelor’s in economics and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
