At the annual PWM/The Banker Awards held virtually in London, The Private Bank was named Best Private Bank for Customer Service, for the fourth consecutive year.
The judging panel noted Citi’s growing focus on capturing the financial and business interests of global families. They highlighted Citi’s ability service international clients with a requirement to manage assets and finances across countries and continents by targeting pockets of cross-border oriented wealth in well-established cross-regional corridors.
They also remarked on Citi’s success in attracting new client assets, as seen by $33 billion of net new inflows in 2019. Acknowledging the strength of Citi’s business continuity plans and digital platform, the judges made reference to Citi’s fast move to remote working at the start of global lockdowns and, when regulations allowed, efforts offer clients face-to-face meetings in a controlled, safe environment.
Luigi Pigorini, Regional Head of Citi Private Bank EMEA, said: It is a great honour to be recognised for these awards. Winning consecutive awards for client service and for our family office practice is a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by our global team amid exceptionally challenging operating conditions.
During the past year, we have taken great pride in the positive feedback we have received from our clients about the resilience of our global platform and the consistency and excellence of our service. These awards are a clear indication that these efforts are being recognised throughout the industry.
The Global Private Banking Awards are now in their 11th year.
