Kris Xippolitos is the Global Head of Fixed Income Strategy at the Private Bank.
He is a member of the Office of the Chief Investment Strategist and is responsible for providing the firm and its clients with global fixed income market views, investment opportunities and high conviction ideas. Kris is also a voting member of the Global Investment Committee which advises investors on fixed income asset allocations for fixed income portfolios.
Before joining the bank in 2009, Kris was a portfolio strategist at Smith Barney’s Global Wealth Management division, where he specialized in providing investment and strategy advice through the construction of fixed income model portfolios. He also held the role as product specialist for Citi Capital Markets division at Salomon Smith Barney. In this role he provided the sales force with market guidance and portfolio solutions, with an expertise in government debt, securitized debt, corporate bonds (high grade and high yield), preferred securities and U.S. municipals.
Kris’ views are featured in a number of Citi research reports, including the longstanding fixed income Citi publication, Bond Market Monthly. Kris has over 20 years of market industry experience, joining Citi immediately after graduating from the State University of New York at Cortland, where he earned a B.A. in Management Science and Economics.

The team provides insights into key economic, political and market developments, and evaluates the risks and opportunities to help form our tactical investment allocation.
