Citi Private Bank and Sotheby’s have joined forces to host an exclusive art evening in Dubai to showcase exceptional Modern Middle Eastern Art.

At Sotheby’s Dubai galleries, clients of both organizations were treated to a private preview of upcoming exhibitions and sales of 20th Century Middle Eastern Art. Sotheby’s also launched a ground-breaking book of insights into geometric art’s contribution to humanity called ‘Geometry and Art in the Modern Middle East’ by Roxane Zand and Dr Sussan Babaie.

The event was just the start of a content rich 2019 which will include further initiatives that bring together both the Private Bank and Sotheby’s art expertise and insights for the benefit of their art lover clients.

This year, the Private Bank is celebrating a significant milestone in its rich art history. 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of its pioneering Art Advisory & Finance global business, which was established with world-renowned art dealer Jeffrey Deitch in 1979.

Since then, the Private Bank has continued to lead the way to help clients build, finance and protect art collections. Its art advisors provide personalized acquisition and selling strategies, as well as collection management services. The program creates new opportunities for strengthening relationships with clients who have an interest in art.

Samir Raslan, Head of Middle East and Turkey Regions at Citi Private Bank, said: ‘We share the passion of many of our global citizen clients for art. Our collaboration with Sotheby’s gives them exclusive access to artwork, expertise, and fellow collectors in wonderful surroundings.’
