Long-term economic and demographic forces may drive significant growth in demand for healthcare
The recovery in the global economy and financial markets is getting long in the tooth. In the US, for example, the expansion began more than ten years ago, and has recently set a new all-time record. However, elderly economic and financial cycles are susceptible to certain age-related problems. Stretched valuations, jittery price action, and fears of what will follow the end of the cycle are just a few of these. Rather than pulling back from risk assets, though, Citi Private Bank believes that investors should stay fully invested, but position portfolios to reflect current and future conditions.
